    Laparoscopic surgery

Laparoscopic surgery is realized through some holes extremely small, between 5 and 12 mm, with some special instruments. The fact that an incision of the abdominal wall is no more necessary, presents some surgical advantages: firstly, the pain postoperative disappears, the patient is able to move much faster, the hospitalization decreases as well as the time of recovery after the surgery. The esthetical result is also much better.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is one of the most performed surgical procedures, replacing almost completely the classical cholecystectomy. It supposes one day, maximum two days of hospitalization, small incisions, fast recovery.

Laparoscopic appendectomy is recommended to the persons who are having a big dimension of the abdominal wall (the sportsmen, the overweight persons) – one day hospitalization.

Laparoscopic techniques can be used also for the treatment of abdominal wall hernias, perforated gastric ulcer, uterine fibroma, ovarian cysts. All these interventions require one, two, sometimes three hospitalization days.
